Degree engineering professional with seven plus years of experience in executing turn key compressor stations contracts. A working knowledge of equipment sizing , P & ID preparation, pipe line sizing, ability to estimate project costs, knowledge of industrial pipe line codes and standards will be beneficial.

Duties will include estimating projects, reviewing contracts, proposal preparation, contract negotiations, client and management reporting, maintain customer relationships, and executing projects.

Alliance has openings in the Deepwater Group, the Floating Systems Group as well as the Shelf Business Units. Sr Compressor Stn Facilities / Mechanical Engineer - Houston, TX

Mechanical Engineer should possess the following attributes associated with natural gas reciprocating and centrifugal compressor stations:

  • Practical experience associated with onshore site construction techniques and methodologies
  • Hands on experience with the design, construction, commissioning and start-up
  • Able to perform conceptual engineering for main process, auxiliary, and utility systems associated with same, i.e. equipment identification, sizing and integration for a complete system
  • Able to generate from scratch Process Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
  • Able to generate specifications, data sheets and purchase requisitions for reciprocating compressors, separators, filter coalescers, glycol dehydration systems, fuel gas and process gas metering, etc.
  • Conduct site surveys of existing facilities to gather operating data and equipment information
  • Prepare capital cost estimates and supporting design / construction schedules in line with Client's expectations

Instrument Engineer: - Houston, TX

Description: The Instrument Engineer should possess the following attributes associated with natural gas reciprocating and centrifugal compressor stations, gas storage facilities, pump stations, measurement facilities, or onshore gas processing plants:

  • 5-10 years experience with the design of Field Instrumentation and Instrument Control Systems (PLC, Process Control, ESD and F&G Systems).
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation requirements for onshore pipeline facilities, including compressor stations, pump stations, meter stations and other pipeline facilities is required.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards for onshore pipeline and facility installations will be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate will be directly responsible for development of instrument equipment specifications, datasheets, calculations, block diagrams, system configurations, instrumentation drawings, and the complete instrument system design for onshore pipeline and facility type projects.
  • Responsibilities will also include the oversight, review and approval of instrumentation design on vendor packages.
  • Experience with the development of the instrumentation / control system portion of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) is required.
  • Successful candidates will be strong team players capable of working within tight budgets and deadlines to ensure a quality instrumentation design.

PDMS Piping Designers / Senior PDMS Piping Designers - Houston

Candidates must be experienced in the layout of equipment and the design of piping systems for the topsides of various offshore facilities including; FPSO, Spar, Cell Spar, TLP, Semi-sub and Fixed Jacket.. A minimum of two years experience of working with PDMS is preferred. Seven years of experience in a similar position is required for the PDMS Piping Designer positions. Ten years of experience in a similar position is required for the Senior PDMS Piping Designer positions.

Project Controller should have the following attributes primarily associated with offshore facilities and onshore pipeline / compression stations:

  • Knowledge of engineering, procurement and fabrication cycles.
  • Must have good computer skills and a thorough understanding of CPM scheduling techniques.
  • Ability to integrate Contractor schedule data into overall Project Master Schedule.
  • Work closely with Project Leads and sub-contractors to update activity status and resolve critical items.
  • Produce any relevant planning data for project reporting.

Lead Project Controller should have the following attributes primarily associated with offshore facilities and onshore pipeline / compression stations:

  • Ability to develop Company planning policies & procedures and custom reporting formats.
  • Ability to develop Controls plan, schedules, and all control documents required to respond to proposals/inquiries.
  • Full understanding of engineering, procurement and fabrication cycles.
  • Must have good computer skills and a thorough understanding of CPM scheduling techniques.
  • Must be able to create a project WBS structure and activity codes for all control documentation.
  • Ability to integrate Contractor schedule data into overall Project Master Schedule.
  • Ability to evaluate logic networks and planning documents of vendors/ subcontractors.
  • Direct and supervise Controls staff in the preparation of all Project required cost & schedule data.
  • Must be able to review project logic network and closely monitor critical and near critical tasks and report same to Project Leads. Report activities that are behind schedule that may affect critical path or reaching target milestone dates and provide feedback as to their resolution.
  • Expedite scheduling information from Leads and subcontractors.
  • Develop and maintain a system for progress calculations needed for weekly/monthly progress reporting to the Project Team and Client.

Description: Pipeline Mapping Design Drafter should possess the following attributes associated with natural gas pipelines and route surveys:

  • 3 years experience completing all Mapping, Alignment, and miscellaneous GIS drafting functions using 2- and 3-D CAD software; AutoCAD Map required, BlueSky AlignDB a plus
  • Working knowledge of pipeline requirements for onshore pipeline routes, including alignment sheets, crossing permit drawings, property plats and survey data is required
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards for onshore pipeline alignment sheets will be an advantage
  • Ability to complete deliverables for the detailed design phase of a project; ability to work in the field assisting construction personnel with the engineering design work and as-built work

  • 5-10 years experience completing detailed design of piping systems from P&ID’s, as well as multi-discipline drafting functions using 2- and 3-D CAD software; CADWorx Plant and P&ID Professional required
