ANETH Central Rebuild
Resolute Energy Corporation
Scope of Work:
Alliance Engineering provided project management, detailed engineering, design and procurement support for Resolute Energy Corporation’s Aneth Central Rebuild Project. Throughout the project, Alliance supported the PHA process and PSM program development.
Project Description:
The facility accepts CO2 from low pressure gathering lines, removes bulk liquids, boosts the pressure via screw compression, dries the wet CO2 via TEG dehydration, extracts liquid hydrocarbons via propane refrigeration, and then compresses the gas up to 3000 psig for reinjection into the production field. Alliance implemented a modularized pipe rack design to minimize field construction costs, improve the project schedule, and bring shop-quality construction at the same time.
Auxiliary systems support the main process. A 6.0 MMbtu/hr gas fired heat medium package circulates therminol through the process reboilers. Emissions off of the dehydration unit are handled with a new thermal oxidizer. A reverse osmosis unit takes well water and adjusts the water chemistry to optimize the performance of the cooling water system and adhere to equipment metallurgical requirements. A 300 HP cooling water pump skid circulates cooling water through various process coolers and two plume abated cooling towers. An additional 300 scfm of instrument air capacity was added with two rotary screw air compressors and dryers.
Equipment:
- 84” inlet 2-phase separator
- (2) parallel electric motor driven 1,500 HP screw booster compressors
