Rockies Express (REX) Meter Stations

Project Description – For REX (Rockies Express Pipeline) West, Alliance designed five meter stations. For REX East, Alliance Engineering designed 14 meter stations – twelve single stations and two hub meter stations.

These stations were part of the REX system, a $4.9 billion project. REX is 1,678 miles long and has a capacity of 1.8 billion scfd.

The Alliance-designed facilities installed over 300,000 hp of compression. Alliance was also involved in designing gas coolers, fuel gas heaters, generators, warehouse facilities, infrastructure, power / control structures, and meter stations for this project.

Scope of Work – Alliance directed project management, engineering and design, scheduling and cost control, and procurement support, which included preparing RFQ’s, expediting, and vendor data.

REX East and REX West were commissioned in 2009.
