Job Description

Work as discipline lead engineer/specialist in both minor/major projects managing analysis and design of components by ensuring the work is executed in accordance with project design basis, quality plans, procedures, schedules and budgets.  The successful candidate will be able to:

• Develop Design basis for projects when assigned as lead engineer/specialist Document analysis and design work in accordance with department procedures and standards.
• Check calculations performed by others
• Review and approve all discipline documents on the project
• Delegate work to discipline and supervise both engineering and design
• Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior staff

The successful candidate will be based in Houston, Texas, and will report directly to the Instrument Department Manager.

Experience

10+ years of experience including a minimum of 10 years of Offshore experience.

Qualifications

• Project execution activities must include DCS, PLC, SIS, SIL, HIPPS, Cause and Effects, Safe Charts, LOPA, SRS, and all Sizing Calculation.
• Must have ability to interface well with clients, ability to execute a project with minimal supervision
• B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• PE preferred
