Job Description
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Denver office
General Manager Duties:
Financial:
- Manage the manpower and revenue forecasts
- Review and approve weekly overhead hours report for direct reports, send to Accounting Manager when reviewed
- Review and approve expense reports, check requests and AFE’s
- Review P&L, projects, prospects and backlog
- Review and revise semi-annual budget forecasts
- Review and revise rate sheets and PLC codes as needed
- Review Gross Margins report as needed
New Business / Business Development:
- Prepare, review and approve proposal estimates
- Proactively conduct Business Development activities in conjunction with Business Development personnel, as well as independently seek out new business opportunities
- Responsible for the Denver office project Steering Committee meetings
- Assist with BD, marketing and sales as needed
Project Work:
- Review Weekly Billable Report
- Conduct Monday Project Manager’s Meeting
- Attend project meetings as needed
- Review and approve Project Timesheet Hours Report for other Project Managers as needed
- Proactively interface with other Onshore offices for manpower need, inter-office coordination and resolution of staffing needs
- Attend Thursday morning operations meeting with the Houston office and present the Denver office's status and needs in the meeting
- Coordinate IT support and needs with Unity (Wood Group IT), Alliance, and Mustang IT groups
- Generation and checking of Engineering work products
- Responsible for oversight of software management (HYSYS, CADWorx, etc.)
Employee Issues / Human Resources / Miscellaneous:
- Review Monthly PTO Liability Report from Human Resources or Onshore Business Unit VP
- Facilitate Monday Management Meeting
- Review IT Task List and status
- Update Manager’s Meeting Log
- Accumulate monthly briefings and submit to Onshore Houston GM
- Attend meetings as needed in absence of Onshore Business Unit VP
- Prepare and approve hiring and termination orders
- Assist with Human Resources support as needed
- Oversee employee relations issues
- Review and approve company functions
HSEQ:
- Review internal and external ISO quality evaluations, QMS documents
- Oversee HSEQ operations as implemented by internal staff
Prior experience as a Project Manager, supervisory experience, technical background, and knowledge of pipeline engineering and facilities engineering is required.
Degree Required
Bachelors degree in a related field of engineering
Years of Experience
This position requires a minimum of twenty (20) years in the engineering industry with progressive experience in management and pipeline design and consulting.
