Description and Desired Qualifications

The Electrical I&C Engineer position requires a detailed-oriented Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. The Electrical I&C Engineer position will have overall responsibility for the design of electrical and controls projects for our midstream clients located in the Four Corners region. You should be a self-motivated Electrical Engineer with 10 or more years of experience, at least 3 of which have been in the Oil and Gas industry.

Our Electrical I&C Engineer:

• Provides detailed design skills including arch flash analysis studies, one-line electrical schematics, power and lighting diagrams, connection details, electrical equipment specifications, MCC design
• Develops scope of work
• Monitors and advises Project Manager of any design changes
• Prepares detail design milestones, staffing schedules and man-hour estimates
• Prepares Engineering Change Requests as required
• Researches suitable solutions and estimating cost and timescales
• Applies standard engineering tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes
• Checks and assists designers and drafters in their assignments
• Prepares and or supervises engineering reports, studies, calculations and checks drawings as required
• Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines
• Ensures that Client and Company quality and work standards are applied

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
• Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering design for the Oil and Gas industry
• Previous experience with natural gas compressor stations and treating facility design
• Professional Registration or ability to obtain registration within one year
• Excellent verbal and written communication is required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate will also possess the following preferred qualifications:

• Experience in Instrumentation and Automated Controls is preferred
• Professional Registration
